Time to replace the shocks for the first time on my Cascadia. Where's the best place to go that would have some Monroe gas shocks in stock and wouldn't kill me on labor and price?

I used these guys right here. What you do is call freight liner to get the part number for shocks. You can always find a independent shop to put them on. Shouldn't be more than $70 bucks. Or you can put them on yourself.

Call Fleetpride and the Freightliner dealer, see who has them cheaper.

Get the part number and try Amazon and eBay.
The advantages to buying Online vs. Brick and Mortar is, usually no sales tax and free shipping.
You can easily change them yourself, you'll need a 1/2" drive 15/16" or 24mm socket, the same sizes in a combination wrench, a 18" or 24" breaker bar, a 1/2" impact wrench and some Liquid Wrench or PB Blaster.
For the price you pay a shop in Labor, you can buy the hand tools yourself for less and still have money left over.Last edited: Jul 8, 2017

Not sure if you can get them at Advance auto parts. But if you do it online.I got $50. off if you spend $150. I would have to do a search for the code again. But it was $50 off 150. $30. off $100 and I think $10. off $50. Order online and pick up at the local store. Or ship to your shop or house. I did shipping as it was free.
Also I got Rancho RS5000's for half price doing this. And by sending in the recipes gets a card back from Rancho for $50. All total shocks will cost me around 1/2 price or less.
Rebate from Rancho runs out the end of the month. -
Freightliner in Cinci got Sachs for 40 bucks
