What do you think is the best company similar to Landstar that will let you run on their MC number and use a load board?

Landstarve has their own internal load board.
Is different than running open load boards.

    Landstarve?

With all their freight, you can't make money?

Most of their freight isn't even on the internal board.

It is a good business model, reach out to agents and sell your truck, communicate with the agents and they will send you work.

You have access to their rates on loads that don’t hit the load boards?

I have access to speaking to drivers other than the interwebs. Same story I always hear, nobody paying when everything moves so easily cheap nowadays.
One guy I met a while ago supposedly was hauling military loads that had hook up with broker that was doing well. Other than that everybody else I spoke to is struggling.

If someone can show me the money they'll earn a referral. Nobody has convinced me to make a change during this whole down turn.

It is the same as being an owner-operator with authority, learning how to market your truck to agents who are the customers is key to the success at LS.

You can't expect the system to make you money when you sit on your **** and wait for the perfect load to come up and bite you like if you are a company driver, do you?

Why would any broker, any shipper pay when they all know there's countless trucks lined up to haul cheap?

I just posted a thread where TMC stole somebody's shipper for HALF the rate they were running it for.

You can't expect normal marketing and relationships to get you anywhere in this market.

It's a race to the bottom and fight for survival right now.
