Hi, guys. Where do most of you brokers post your big loads? ITS or Dat? I have used ITS for many years, but am not completely happy with them. I was thinking of switching to DAT power. Any suggestions from the guys on the other side of the screen?

From my perspective ITS is ok for standard size loads but I have had very poor results for any over dimensional. We put all of our over dimensional loads on DAT Power, never ITS

I use both. Most (real) brokers use both. Most of us have software that posts our loads to 15+ load boards though.

A $35 subscription to PostEverywhere is not the indicating measure of a real broker.
Free load boards are not the place to find a flatbed driver that can handle OD and HH with permits and pilot cars. I don't need calls from 20 drivers off free load boards that can't even afford fuel
I'm sure there is plenty of dry van on free boards but for od and hh loads DAT Power

We use all the free ones and all the paid ones as well. And the software is in house not PostEverywhere. If you miss 2 loads a month because you don't have a specific load board you're ####ing up as a broker. Unless you have very little freight pretty much every load board pencils out.

Unless you have lots of specialized od/hh freight and the carrier relationships and don't need calls from every free load board
Not everyone is in the van freight race to the bottom $$
This post is about OD and HH loads

All I do os/ow. I run a 7 axle rgn, and just one truck. I really don't want to subscribe to both. ITS was the best bang for your buck, but with the increased fees I am not so sure anymore.

If you haven't already or your not familiar with them check out https://fr8star.com/
Scroll down to the bottom, in the Yellow Box select Schedule A Demo

They are not a broker, they handle OD Loads. When you use their system to Bid on Loads it includes the cost of Permits, Pilot Cars etc., accessories you want to add can be included. For a single operator as yourself, there is no cost.
This page will show a portion of what is currently open for bid https://fr8star.com/loads
They used to show the recommended starting Bid on that screen, but have since removed that feature. Alsom if you select "Post Bid" ignore the the Description if it reads something like Rubber Duck, some of the shippers have a real sense of humor.
This page describes the find a load and post bid process works. https://support.zoho.com/portal/fr8star/kb/articles/how-to-find-loads-and-post-bid-for-new-carriers
