Know of any truckstops that aren't on the guide but are better than the ones that are? I-70 in west Kansas has some fine truckstops, but the one I like the best is Ellis Travel Plaza.

There was a thread last winter about posting all the small unlisted TSs and other off the beaten pather large car parking places. For the life of me I can't remember the name of that thread. It must have died, cuz I have not seen it in a long time. Perhaps someone reading this will recall it and can dig it up and link it.

Good idea. I've found some of these unlisted truckstops or even restaurants with truck parking are better than the ones on the guide.

There is a small restaurant attached to the Shell Station at Exit 12 on I-185 in Columbus, Georgia. It's called Calana's and is definitely worth checking out. They don't have parking, but right across the street is a rest area with truck parking. The best way to describe it is Southern food with Indian flavoring. The owner's name is T.S. and he has to be one of the friendliest guys I've met. The ribs are to die for, the catfish and wings are great too.
