Looking for best truck/trailor access and nationwide availabilty overall. Any suggestions from your own experience? Considering a YMCA national membership. Not too sure though. Thought to ask around first.

This is a question that gets beaten down a lot every month or so. How long have you been driving? I know when I first started out working out seemed like the last thing on my mind after a stressful day.

My advice: get a kettlebell or two. I'd recommend a 24kg and a 32kg depending on your strength level. Follow "simple and sinister" by Pavel. I have this book and it realistic. It was written for those deployed and such with limited space and equipment.

Do some swings and get-ups and watch your diet and get in a jog when you can. This is all you'll need and all you'll have time for.

Run an open deck trl. That way you get your work out. No gym fees and experience running an open deck trl., you use your brain instead of just your arms to slam doors

As an OTR driver you're not going to find a gym.Besides even if you by chance did the odds are remote you would get there on a regular basis..Bring some portable exercise stuff with you and work out during brakes.

Haul finger print loads only. This should keep you in great shape and put extra money in your pocket!

I have adjustable dumbells in my truck adds 100lbs gross but it is like having a dumbell set from 5-50 lbs each in increments of 5lbs. I also run, do calisthenics, and am considering a weight vest that goes up to 100lbs to augment my routine. Perhaps some ankle weights as well.

    Adjustable dumbells: $250-$400
    100lb adjustible weight vest: ~$300
    Ankle weights: <$50

Resistance bands. Light weight and won't kill you if you're unlucky enough to be in a rollover.

I'm a planet fitness member.i run pretty much to the same area but have found a lot of them are in like wal mart lots and strip malls.Running Otr it would take some planning on finding one you could park at.I do have a good friend he did the YMCA to but he also runs the same route and the y worked for him better on his route.A lot of times if you ask the truck stop they will let you drop your trailer and bobtail take your break at the gym parking lot or if your company allows for personal use you could go off duty once you dropped the trailer
