I am fresh out of a CDL school and wondering what companies in the Chicago area are best to get into.
LTL, Regional/OTR, or Local, I am open to multiple avenues. But who is best in terms of pay, safety, quality of life, treatment, etc.
Obviously I will be limited in the companies I can work for, but wondering it anyone can recomend me something specific that they know is high quality.
Just fyi... For the past week or so, I have been going through the hiring process with Swift. I have gone to orientation and everything seemed ok. But upon doing research, many many reviews are pointing out issues with how they are treated by the company and the dispatchers. But then again this seems to be am issue with every mega out there. Prime, Schnieder, JB Hunt, Weston Express all seem to have similar if not worse issues, but I was told swift is at least ok to get experience points.
But if anyone has anything better out there, a place that hires new drivers too, I would appreciate that as well.

Canadian Pacific Railway sometimes hires driver around the Rockford/Chicago area.
Must have cdl or ability to obtain one.
