I use the disposable coffee cups at truck stops and am on the hunt for the best lid! So far I have found that Subway makes a really good lid that has a sliding open/close system. I think that Mcdonalds makes good coffee with an average lid but has a sturdy cup and Tim Hortons in Canada has the WORST lids of all!

You see I don't like using a non throw away cup. I havent found one that sits in the cup holder and doesn't want to fall over. The disposable cups fit in my cup holder nicely and don't tip. Even the lid on my old travel mug was crappy , it had a lip around the edge that would make it dribble when I drank from it.
Does anyone have a Tasimo style coffee maker in there truck? I got a small type of one for Xmas but haven't got an inverter to use it yet so not sure how it goes making a cup of joe.

Pilot/J is selling a travel mug which I like. It's brown with coffee-related words written all over it. I like it. I bought a couple of spares in case the original craps out on me, even though it shows no signs of that happening yet after much use. It has a snap-top lid which is similar to the disposable lids at Pilot/J. It's a 16oz, which is about my limit anyway. And, part of the profit supposedly goes to some type of charity. Happy drinking........

I went out and bought one of those plastic soda can cup holders that you normally put on the windowsill. Mounted it to the dash and have never had an issue with my reusable cup tipping over. Before that I just laid a roll of duct tape on the floor and put my cup in it

7-11 out here make a good sturdy paper cup and the kids fit tight and have a little thumb switch that opens/closes the drinking hole.

Just when I thought every type question was asked! :)

I hate any lid you have to fumble with. I'd rather have a basic lid and rip a corner out. Then again most of the time I made my own with a 16 oz open styrofoam cup.

These are the things that go through my head when I'm driving LOL!
A lid seems like a very insignificant thing until one ends up with coffee down the front of the shirt or all over the console from a poorly designed lid, as I experienced on may occasions!
What I have also noticed is that a subway lid won't fit a mcdonalds or flying j cup. I have a subway lid that I clean each time and try to reuse but there's no interchangeability between different establishments cups! I tell you it's a tough life out here trying to find the perfect coffee cup lid!

I like the kind that stay on and you kind of sip through a crack you make with your lip. I think TA has them and Mc Donalds does too. the kind you tear open the flap and latch it that pilot loves and them have tend to spill all over the cup holder .

You may not like their coffee but Starbucks sells great coffee mugs with a couple different styles that fit perfectly in my cupholder (they have another style that flares slightly at the bottom so is too big for the smaller recess and too small for the bigger one.)

I use a stainless steel Bubba Keg,bottom is narrow top is big. Sits good in the cup holders keeps coffee warm for a while and the lid seals good. Have had it for probably 3 years now.
