Now that I'm back out on the road and not runnin' local I miss my cb. I have a Connex 3300 hp zx and am trying to figure out the best antenna and suggestions for mounting it on a Pete car carrier. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Wow..You got problems.....Anything you can do to get a top loaded antenna(coil at the top,not a predator 10k,k40,wilson 2000 type at its highest point with your connection(feed point) at the same place as your mounting point(ground point/counterpoise,meaning metal mass UNDER YOUR ANTENNA) should go a long ways..

Get a regular steel mirror mount and just use the side that has the mount for the antenna, have a shop weld it on the front left of your overhead rail on a 45 degree angle. Works great with just about any antenna you want to put up there.
