Alright folks, sound off your opinion about the best of the best regarding this trucker mainstay.
I'm not talking about the "add water and stir" crap at the chains like Denny's either.
Good old Mom & Pop's Home Made Biscuits & Gravy.
I guess sounding off about the bad will serve as good research as well.
My trucking career will not start until next spring/summer...so this info has plenty of time to compile. But if I could eat only one hot meal a day, it would be this American favorite with some good tators on the side.
I recently lost 66lbs, but B&G is still my weakness and guilty pleasure.
So lets here it Truckers of America...I'm taking notes to bring on the road with me.

If you can find a place to park your rig, any Black Bear Diner has GREAT biscuits and gravy. I mean GREAT! (But look out for heartburn. . .) [But it's worth it!]
Kevin Cole Thanks this. -
from my grand mother's kitchen

My kitchen!
Dang Big Don, B&G ain't suppose to give you heartburn. It must have too much sage in the sausage or some other spice. -
I have no clue of the best place to get it, but used to cook out when down for the weekend hauling over sized loads. Biscuits and gravy homemade every weekend off the deck if weather permitted, I made many road friends with my cooking.

My mother's house. She makes from-scratch buscuits and from-scratch chipped-beef gravy.

Of course all (most) of the fine wives & mothers make a great plate of B&G, but what we're looking for is the best places on the road to stop...without wasting time, hoping the Biscuits & Gravy are good enough to pull off to eat.
I'm sure every other post could be a fella phrasing what the menu offers at home, but unless grandma or your old lady is making enough for everyone...lets stick with the restaurants & diners.MustangJ Thanks this.
