You can get a monkey made about the same price as a wilson or a predator 10k and a lot easier to tune plus is a better antenna hands down stop drinking the wilson kool aid plus I've had my monkeymade since 2000 and hit everything from overpasses to load racks, trees, etc and its still working like a champ.

I really like my Browning flatcoil Br-78 antenna. ive use a lot of antennas like fire sticks, an air coil road pro (I think) and a dual coil and the browning is my favorite. I think there like 37 bucks too.

I am still wondering about advice on the Frietliner Cascadia. I have a Galaxy 959 and stock Frieghtliner dual antennas. SWR is 1.1. If I wanted to hook up a Palomar TX150, what suggestions do you have. I am wondering where to mount it, not room in the place for CB. Wondering if antenna can handle this and just looking for suggestion. Sorry, I am a newbie to CB.

Ive run some K40 fiberglass whips with the metal tunable tip and had a decent swr on a Cascadia. They were the small diameter ones and strong wind would whip them around scuffing the paint. Hit some bad wind and the metal tip busted out the sleeper window. watch out.

I'm having coax issues now so I haven't tried much else.

You can find a Wilson for those to but i would worry about the coax wire. They can cause your SWR's to be high and couldcause radio problems if used to much. What I would do is buy a mount for one of your mirrors and go with a good coax as well. Do yourself a favor though and go to a cb shop that you trust and buy them and have them check your SWR's while your there, its worth it because everything has to be tuned together or you will just be throwingyour money away. Do it right and youll be pleased

wilson makes those as well but i would be worried about the coax wire. It can make your SWR's high and can damage your radio over time if not corrected. What i would do is buy a mount for one of your mirrors and go with a good coax. You can try the mounts your talking about first and have your SWR's checked out, the mirrror mounts as you probably know dont cost much. Just do yourself a favor, Go to a CB shop that you trust and have this done right because everything has to be tuned togather or you will keep spending your money.

Depends on what you are gonna run ..some are monkey made, predator 10k, or a fire stik II if your not gonna run a bunch of watts.

I just returned from having installed a stock cobra 29 lx, I liked the modern look. $90 more fine tune it and install noise filters.
Local cb shop here, he took it apart, soldered in new noise filters, fine tuned the firestick and radio.

Pretty impressed, since static was just just about zero.

When I asked about the antennas, he stated it didn't make any difference with size or brand, since the antenna would be tuned.
He even carried a proprietary model, made for his shop. It was made of stainless steel, with so many ounces of copper wrapped in military grade rubber. Same price as the Wilson 5000. He still said he could guarantee the fire stick( a 3 foot) go 5 to 10 miles. Being just stock and fined tuned, I just went with it, truck is high enough and he said it was tuned to 90% from channel 1 to 40.

Pretty confusing to hear everyone talk about lengths since antenna's are being tuned?
