Is there any company that will hire you on if you do not have any OTR experience? I've been driving class b for 3 years and class a for 6 months. Was looking into buying a truck and leasing to a company but can't find one that will hire with no experience. I would be running on their authority as well

@Chinatown is the guru on companies around here. Most companies won't touch you. But that's probably because their insurance won't cover you.

There are companies that will lease you on, just be up front with them on your lack of OTR experience. The only real problem you might have is if you discover that you don't like OTR.

    Do what I did.

    Get your own authority.

    Case closed.

I would think you have to have at least a year to lease on somewhere.

Here is a suggestion, you already have b experience, so I would look at FedEx custom critical or another expediting company as a b driver/owner then just make the move into a tractor. Most of the time they won't give any problems on the move.

You should rethink leasing a truck if you don't have a good cash reserve.

Wouldn't be leading one. I already own one. Trying to put it to work.
