    Hello all,

Does anyone have a Uniden Bearcat 880 installed in a 2016 Peterbilt 579? Doesn't seem to fit well in the console above the visors. Any advice is appreciated.

My cobra is the same size, I remember the panel coming apart and there is a face panel you remove to make the radio fit correct. Mine fits in there snug.

Took a closer look at it and noticed a Velcro strap was causing an issue with fit. Now just need to figure out what the problem is with th antenna

If its the one that mounts above the door, and you are not the ORIGINAL first driver of the truck anten issues tend to be people f-up the wire in the ant housing by turning with one pair of pliers instead of two. Causing the wire to crimp and break.

Mine is a single Ant setup that is hooked to the BACK of the sleeper and goes up over the cab. I love this setup as there is no junction box's its a strait cable from CB to ant.

Pretty sure I have the same setup behind the cab, this is a new truck to me (about 5 weeks now). Noticed the antenna getting loose on my old truck, so I'll check it during pretrip manana

Forgot to add: That plate comes off. Use needle nose. Makes more space, but uncovers opening to left.

You could also just cut off one side for the radio opening to be larger.
