That actually doesn't sound so bad as long as they let you find your own loads. I did a higher payment than that being paid $1.00 per mile plus fsc and reefer rebate and did pretty well with a dispatcher. At 74% of the load plus fsc, a lower payment over all and find my own loads, I'm pretty sure i could make that work out pretty well. I keep reading bad reviews but mostly the same old (i didn't know what i was doing so I'm going to blame everyone else but me) type reviews. I did see one like this one that said miles were low but getting paid percent the miles shouldn't matter.I mean miles per load yes, but over all miles per week really just figure into fuel usage. If you get to choose from a load board and especially a board that shows the load revenue and you get to use other load boards when company freight is slow then that sounds like a pretty good deal. The only thing i saw that i didn't like was that the driver pays for reefer fuel and all expenses except for lumpers.

How can you say miles vs percentage makes a difference? The percentage is going to be based off the miles or vise versus. These companies know how to make the numbers almost equivalent. Do you really think one is that much better than the other? If so, why do companies offer both? And how can paying over a thousand a week for a truck just to move the company your leasing the truck froms freight ever be profitable? All you're doing is paying payments and maintenence on the truck for the company. Good luck with that. Just be a company driver and have no worries about equipment failure!
