Will I pass my own business mvr if my driving record is bad, like can I still proceed with everything and not be worried because I own the company

Did you already get an insurance quote because that's what might stop you from moving forward.

Opendeckin, Vampire and Siinman Thank this.

Figure out what truck you'd like to get and call progressive or whatever insurance company you might be interested in. They'll get all your info and give you a quote, no problem. Insurance cost will determine if your record is going to stop you from being an OO.

Siinman, Long FLD and cuzzin it Thank this.

You can get a commercial quote online from Progressive, that’ll determine if it’s even financially feasible for you to even get your own authority.

What’s so bad about your driving record that you feel getting your own operating authority can circumvent you from driving for a company otherwise?

Vampire and Diesel Dave Thank this.

You can get it, BUT can you AFFORD it...

More Risk is insurable at additional cost; put that on top of new authority and the cost goes sky high.

Vampire, Siinman and boneebone Thank this.

Yes, as you are the owner. However when you get a quote for insurance, your bad driving record will effect you insurance premium.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Good luck getting insurance, it is already extremely expensive for a new “entrant” with a good driving record.

boneebone and wis bang Thank this.
