I thought parts in America could be bought anywhere? It's true we rely on main dealers but even on this island we can have any part next day even if it had to come from Sweden , that's shocking service! Not only is he not with his family for thanksgiving but they won't tell him if he will make it! Aswell as that there's the financial cost of being off the road! You are right, tell as many as possible of this truly shocking treatment and maybe they will get the message!

well, good news, sorta. the company gave us the money that it would have cost for a bus ticket so i made the long journey to go get him. He is gonna catch a ride back to the terminal in shreveport this weekend and they are gonna put him in another truck so he can get back to making money. btw, freightliner still hasnt even got the truck in the shop to give an estimate yet on the repairs.

Once they actually get around to ordering it, sure. But they have to get it IN the shop first. That can take a while. Even if you do have an appointment.

If you take your 4 wheeler in, and they jack you around, it's not hard to go somewhere else, there are a lot of options. Not so w/ large trucks. I wish it were different, I REALLY do. A good mechanic is worth his weight in gold. Too bad my car mechanic decided to go be a truck driver. Now what am I supposed to do? Paying the labor bill could be problematic. :biggrin_25522:

It worked out well for you in the end- I hit a deer a year ago in Pa and it took two weeks to get out of the shop.

If I knew it would take that long to get repaired I would have backed over that buck a few times and got my money's worth.

sometimes I am waiting 2 weeks to get my truck out of my local, shop 5 miles away & know the owner personally & all the workers. they're my neighbors. lol, but still get a lil impatient. it's like that wherever. sometimes, you get lucky. customer service & attitude in all business is not what it used to be.

bought a used fld from OKC freightliner about 6 years ago. best part swappers in the business, to hell with finding the real problem. had truck in shop 5 times for overheating before they thought to blow out the radiator with a water hose. No problems after that!!

Need good service or repair work in OKC go to MHC Kenwoth or independent shop. Rush pete is almost as bad as ATC freightliner.

That's crazy! If a garage owner kept a truck here for more than 3 days he's liable to be shot! parts here are next morning delivery no matter where it comes from, if it needs to come from Sweden it will be airmailed, order before 15:00 and you are guaranteed the part by the following morning, major parts like engines may take 48 hrs, I'd be very unhappy if my truck was kept that long, Alot of garages here will repair trucks overnight so there's no downtime!

First of all I must say that needing a radiator just before Thanksgiving is bad luck.......I know ATC in Okc and I can say that these guys care about
how they treat people and the service they provide......

Just because someone got their panties in a wad over bad timing makes them a bad dealership I guess....
