I'm wondering not the average miles but the average pay, when you take in any bonuses tarping untarping etc, what does the total $ usually come out to?

they say average trips about 800 miles so lets say you go 2400 in a week and make 3 stops/pickups. That's $1,032 @ .43cpm and $ 240 in tarp pay so about $1270 a week before taxes....is this a typical experience?

I plan on being otr for long periods of time, that seems to matter to get the better miles

I think you might have weeks like that, but I certainly wouldn't count on it every week. From experience your AVERAGE weekly take home would probably be lower

Yeah I figured that might be a little to good to be true, as long as the average still hovers around 1000 it seems like a pretty good shot

I would guess that Melton is in the same league with TMC and Maverick when it comes to income. If you run hard, you can gross $50-55k/year. So, figure on AVERAGE weekly gross around $1000. An average of $1250 would put you in the $65k/year range. While not unheard of, I wouldn't expect it from the big training companies. JMO

There's no way you making 240 in tarp pay a week. That's 6 loads that require tarping the most you'd make is prob 120 to 160. Average pay if say 800 a week.

I meant 800 take home after taxes which can differ before taxes I'd say around 1150

Yes it does slow up in the winter and no it doesn't slow up in the winter really just depends on where your at when you Mt out although in the winter the turnaround will be longer with weather and such and the cold weather affecting the equipment ie frozen cold tarps, frozen straps/winches, winches being frozen in place so they have to be beaten into submission really it's just that in the cold everything takes longer to do
