Looking for any feedback anyone can provide in automatic drive though semi truck washes.

Good Bad and ugly and if you’re a fan… where is your favourite location. I’m making my inquiry because I’m looking at building one.

They’re not popular because I’m assuming the liability is so high that it’s not feasible. And the huge variety of trucks would make it difficult to do a good job.

    austinmike and Saskfarmboy Thank this.

There's one in Brookville PA, the Hurricane truck wash. I loved that place. I think it was $35 or $40, pay, pull in, it'll spray your truck and trailer with soap 2 times and then give you the option to pause the machine and hand wash your truck. Then resume it and it'll pressure wash all the soap off. That system, to me, was highly preferred over any other truck washes. Mainly because I knew the result I would get and it was affordable

There’s an auto wash at the TA in Albert Lee, MN.
I don’t know anything about it but it’s supposed be un-maned.

Unless it’s changed in the last few months they still have guys to brush the truck.

I’ve used the one in Missoula MT and the one in Grand Island NE. Both of them stop you in the middle to brush the truck. Both of them do an ok job.

I just saw someone doing this as I was leaving the peelot in Tom’s Brook. All I could think was wtf. Hope the person behind him saw and didn’t use it. But most likely went inside for lunch.
