Once I paid my down payment for my insurance, BCO-3 submitted already, insurance company sends info to FMCSA, how long does it takes until my authority becomes active?

If this is your first time (not reactivation) right at 3 weeks. Be sure and check on your mcs150. I think that's the name. File it as soon as you can and if it won't let you do it on line, OOIDA can do it for $25 and have it done in the blink of an eye.

I wasn’t sure about the 21-25 day statement. My mentor told me that the 21-25 day starts when I get my numbers. I’ve had my numbers for about a week now. So, I’m just waiting for my authority to become active and wasn’t sure if the FMCSA holds back until the 21-25 day period.

If you are a member of OOIDA, they will do the process agents for free.

I remember the last thing I was waiting on was the IFTA sticker. Texas was really slow. Each state is a little different. I read somewhere here that some states will let you pick up the IFTA sticker.

You get a paper ifta temp permit until the stickers come in. That's what I'm using now. Been 2 maybe 3 weeks

That’s good to know for the newbies. It wasn’t a big deal for me as I still took another week to get my business organized and ready to roll.
