So, a driver that gets his/her CDL this November should book their first load to Prudhoe? Swift and CRE will surely give them the required experience.

I thought the Haul road was closed to the public?
When I was in Alaska back in the late 70’s it was considered a private road and and only the oil company trucks and their contractors could use it.Coffey Thanks this. -

I'm running Fairbanks to Tok 6 days a week.Ive seen a lot more trucks than normal on the highway. There were a lot a military loads last month. There is a lot of work going on at Prudhoe.
Drivers have said the Haul Road was a mess earlier in the spring,a lot of unprepared drivers.
I see mostly flatbeds and step decks hauling up that way.
I've seen a lot of Landstar trucks but mainly seems to be smaller owner op companies.Lynden has a bunch of O/O drivers hauling for them now. They're probably paying the best.
I saw a tarped stepdeck sitting at Fast Eddys in Tok for the last week, tractor must have broke down and got towed off for repairs.86scotty, Flat Earth Trucker, Cat sdp and 4 others Thank this. -
