Attn. US Truckers coming from US 48 States Lower Mainland: Before booking any loads from US to the Prudhoe Bay, Alaska look at the attached videos and read this will definitely help you. This roadknows as Dalton Hwy (AK-11) between Fairbanks and Prudhoe Bay was built in 1970s and no resurfacing on major part and this 500 miles has worst condition except around 60 miles in the starting and 60 miles in the last and little bit in the middle but rest of the hwy is so much rough that I never saw in my whole life. Our (US Lower mainland trucks) Hwy tires are low pro 22.5 and these are NOT successful here intact must be 11R22.5 or 24.5 with gravel or off-road tires. This 500 miles will take whole 11 hrs shift (No weigh station between after Hiltop Truckstop but no repair or an easy towing in got stuck. If you got stuck then towing will cost you minimum of $10K or more plus the repair cost. Trucks (Dry Van Loads) coming from Alberta, Canada are paid over U$30K ($40 in C$) and Flatbeds are even more. Up to Fairbanks is absolutely no problem and you can come or charge $15-$20K but this must charge extra $10K for this 500 miles because if got stuck then will cost you more than $10K and brokers know this and don’t ask the same trucking company again and always find new company for Prudhoe Bay loads. If your load is 30K lbs or more then must be extra careful because 19% grade and road is very bad and can’t drive more than 15-30 mph. If you look Fairbanks, AK to Prudhoe Bay, AK on google map, will show you 11 hrs and don’t even think that you can drive faster because you will be driving even slower because this timing is for car and this hwy is CallAhead Hwy means multiple place you have to call ahead that you are entering the area and other trucks will wait as hwy is narrow or bad conditions. You can text me for more details. I went there one time paid $16K but will never go there even $50K is paid. One of my friends truck was towed and costed $25000 and still waiting for repairs. Fairbanks or Anchorage roads are okay but NOT to Prudhoe Bay. Fuel cost at Prudhoe Battery was over $7/Gallon by credit cards. Our EFS, TCH, COMDATA doesn’t work in Alaska anywhere

TrainerJames has a Youtube channel. He has videos of the Haul Road. He said the same thing about if you break down or wreck, it's a $10,000 tow bill when they have time to go get it.
