Ok, setup is a stryker 497 hpc, monkey made antenna, and astatic mic. Actually 2nd astatic mic. 3rd mic total if you include stock. When I key up I can hear in the talkback that I cut out some of the time. Checked all connections on radio, good. I'm not sure what to do next. I cant imagine yet another mic has met its expiration date already. Had in for about 4 months give or take. Any thoughts? T.I.A.

Did a good shop do the conversion? I would take it to a shop known for their ability and have them check it out.

Take the plug on the mic apart and check the solder connections. If they look ok take the mic it self apart and check those. All the pulling and bouncing around will break the connections a lot of the time.

Did all three mics do the same thing?
