they are printed with public money, in florida at least -
They have figured out a way to gouge a driver even before he becomes one.

Here in Utah I went in to pick up my study guide and they gave me one, I said I had 2 buddies at work that were thinking about getting their CDL as well and the officer said here take 2 more and if you need help contact us and we will do our best.
I am glad I took my exams here. -
No, No, No,----- the test packet is $50. The CDL study guide is free.
With your test packet--you get three chances to pass the written-----after the third failure you will have to pay for another test packet (another$50.), then when the license is granted it is another $40. for the license.
Any endorsements you want to add after youre issued the license is another $10.
As for the test------ the gen knowledge is 50 questions, air brakes is 25 I think and Combos are 25 questions. Tankers is 20 I believe and haz mat is 25 if memory serves.
Just went thru the process here in northern Ark. myself.
