What are you looking for? Are you waiting to reset your service hours and looking for a load to get home? What truck stop are you at now? TA/Pilot? Flying J?

I don't think most will have a clue what this post is about. It took me awhile to figure it out. And then I was only able to because I have seen some of your other posts.

Most owner/operators don't just take any load from anywhere. Most of us only load with select brokers and keep that number low. We run the broker's credit. We pick brokers that offer a value like a fuel card or a quick pay option. We don't take a second look at cheap freight. We are looking for freight that pays 2.20 to 3.00 per mile.

Most of us plan ahead on our loads. We plan to turn and burn in cheap areas and get enough going in to do that. That is most of us who stay in business.

I don't know about others but I'm old-school. I can't imagine a reset unless forced to wait over the weekend for a load. Resets are something we didn't use to have and still don't need in my opinion. When I reset it is at home. Resets are for big companies to control miles.

Another thing, I don't hang out at truck stops. That is a place to fuel and shower. You asked about pallet exchange in another thread. I have never messed with a load that required that. Pallets are a shipper/receiver problem not an owner/operator problem.

Most of us use a couple of subscription load boards. We often get calls before the loads hit the boards once we are established.

I have been in Miami way more times than I can remember in the last 15 years, and I am certain that trying to understand cuban broken english face to face in person is easier than trying to translate cuban type on the internet.

No offence Miamiguy305, but noboby can make heads or tails of WTF you're asking about.

Load boards. Truck stops. Service hour reset. Fashizzle......

Only when I am waiting for a shower. But it is fun to watch the foreigner that can't speak english calling looking for loads.

I remember looking for loads at the truck stop in the early 80's. That was if the little black book didn't turn up a load. That didn't happen too often if you had a good little black book. Things have certainly changed!
