In the sleeper of course. if not, would that be helpful to better the comfort of a driver? Just a thought.

They exsist, the ones with the rv sized sleepers typically have showers in them and a water tank on the truck, however they are typically owner operators who haul light loads as they add a ton of weight to the truck, lighter loads mean less money, so they are not Ideal, we just use bottled water and use shower credits at the truckstop

That is not true at all. -
The Volvo 730 I ran OTR had a little sink in it. Kinda nifty.

I was thinkng about trying to come up with a very small light weight system. more for convenience than "necessity". washing hands or brushing teeth type of thing. I know weight is a concern but think it could be done with minimal impact to truck weight.
not sure if it would be well accepted or snubbed by drivers. would have to be better than brushing your teeth in a TS or out side in the weather. -
Your empty coffee cup filled half way with water from your gallon jug works just fine to brush your teeth ..you can even continue to stare thru the windshield while you're doing it, and not miss a thing.

Well that is strange the light load pays less and is hauled in truck that cost twice as much as any light weight bottom feeder company truck ?
Hmm I guess I learned something new today !!!
It must be the same principal that a steel wheel is lighter because it is not as thick as an aluminum wheel is !
Who says an old dog cant learn something new ?HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thanks this. -

That is not true at all. Sure it is if comparing same freight with identical rate & weight and 1 truck has to leave 1,000 lbs sitting on the dock to offset the tanks of water both potable and grey its hauling around for onboard bathroom / shower.

Hmm I guess I learned something new today !!! It was the way dogchimp generalized his response , we all know that rates vary regardless of what pulls the freight but when comparing identical loads a heavier truck will at times lose $ if it has to leave freight on the dock to compensate for its weight.

Had a 1974 Ford cabover that had running water, but then we figured out where the leak was and applied a heavy caulk.
