It depends on the terminal, how large, and how short handed they are.
What part of the country are you applying to?
I also would strongly encourage you to call the hiring manager directly.
If you are applying to an end of line terminal call the service center manager.bosscityboy19 Thanks this. -
Its in Kilgore, TX. I appreciate the info I will definitely call them tomorrow! !!
-
if it's a p&d position you may get hired more quickly if they are short handed.
I am trying to get hired for the second time it took about two months the first time.
Best of luck!
If you can hang in there it will be worth the wait!bosscityboy19 Thanks this. -
Oh yea my pops works out in Nashville terminal and he loves it. I been trying to get in at the Shreveport terminal where I stay but they wont hire so I tried TX instead. Thanks for the info guys!!!

all depends on the terminal, my first terminal took less than a month, my new terminal I have heard guys being interviewed and they were wanting them to start the next day... What did you apply for city or road. I am a road driver
-
Combo city driver/ dock worker.
-
most likely you wil be doing big volume of driving, just a few customers for deliveries and pickups and the other half the day dock

Today must be my day b/c I got the call from Kansas to do a phone interview and its the terminal in shreveport where I stay at which is much better. This position is p & d driver parttime, but she said it will mainly be nigths and weekends. She said also that I will expecting a call from the TM here nxt week cause they really need drivers. So does that mean that they already did tbe background check and employment check? Or do they do it after the interview?
-
nights and weekends for P/D??? Never heard of that with us. The backround check for YRC is very easy nd fast. You got the exp. so im sure your good. After my interview the next week they called me for a follow up to do my drug test. The next monday I got called and said start wednesday
