Can anyone recommend an app that I can enter where I need to be at a certain time and where I am leaving from in my semi to tell me what time I should leave to make it on time with it taking into considering drive time limitations, etc?

    your brain

you know what time you MUST be there. you know the miles away it is.

you know you have a 10 hour break, here and there.

no app can be precise to all the weather, road conditions.

i never needed no app, only a NAP every once in a while.

leave early, don't play games at the truck stops, just get there.

Take the total miles and divide by 55. That will give you your total drive time. Then add in your breaks.

For example, a 1500 mile trip is roughly 25 to 27 hours of drive time. So you’ll need to add in 20 hours for your two breaks.

Easy round numbers is 50mph. Can just take the miles, drop the last two digits, and double what's left. 1000 miles is 20 hours, 2500 miles is 50 hours, etc. This allows time for all the small breaks, hills and traffic, then just gotta factor in the 10's. Easy round numbers for that would be 500 miles per 10.

Yes this method will get you there early most of the time. Oh darn.

Maybe try this: leave as soon as possible, arrive at destination as soon as possible, and then kick back and relax.

    ;)

I'd rather be an hour early than 10 minutes late, that method will get you close to right on the nose every time in my experience.

Yeah, after I said 55 I realized that I was running with my cruise on 67 and had been passed by the same truck 3 times between Butte MT and Billings MT.

Thus number will vary so greatly from one driver 2 another... And one lane to another.

I myself use 60 mph to estimate travel time over long distances (500 to 4500+ miles), and 65 mph for short distances (less than 500 miles)... Usually works pretty good for me. But I know other drivers that cant keep up with that pace... So every driver has to find his own number.
