Hi Canadians
I found this interesting site: http://truckfax.blogspot.ca
It is a guy blogging about trucks in the city of Halifax. He spots a lot of interesting things because of the ro-ro ferries. This one got me interested:

What would a European MAN truck be doing in Canada? I know that you sometime have needs for big COE trucks and you almost can't get any North American COE trucks anymore. And I have read about a few companies going with Mercedes Actros. But Mercedes Actros I can somehow relate to due to Daimlers ownership of Freightliner. That should in theory make it easier to get Mercedes trucks serviced in Canada.
But these MAN trucks:
- Can they be serviced in Canada at all?
- Can they be legally registred?
- Anyone who know who are using them?
Hope someone can help me. I'm a little bit curious.
Kind regards
Morten
Anyone who knows were these MAN trucks went?

With Dutch companies like MAMMOETT, all kinds of equipment has been imported into Canada.
Earl Paddock has been around for about a million years now. -
Maybe they rig them up in Canada, ship them to the Usa or middle east for the oil patch
-
I was just about to say, a lot of foreign chassis come through here for oilfield service truck conversions and then they're shipped to their final destination. China is a big customer. -
Oops, Sorry

It's possible this thing will be rigged up as a smaller crane truck with a flatbed on it possibly... I have seen a few Mammoett trucks in Ontario...
Earl Paddock I see them all the time being in Ontario... They got a nice fleet.... If I didn't work the City they would be a company I would look into for work... -
There were some pictures posted on HANKS TRUCK FORUM of these trucks , spotted heading west under their own power in the USA possibly for shipment to CHINA .

They are running on the highway, saw one heading down the smasher the other day.
