Anyone use howes meaner power cleaner ?

    I put in a bottle of this stuff on a load of fuel at Barstow cal with my davco filter about 3 quarters full and at Laramie wy it had cleaned the filter to about a quarter full ..any one ever seen this ?

    I would think the opposite would happen, i mean if howes is cleaning the fuel system wouldn't the filter get more clogged with debris.
    Or are you saying its cleaning the filter, if so where is the debris going?
    I use Howes in my equipment and my trucks, good stuff.
    I noticed on one of my trucks the davco is filling up to the top "pre maturely "under 5000 miles and cut the filter open to see if it had excess debris but it didn't, i asked a mechanic and he said don't go by how high the fuel is in the canister, go by the fuel pressure gauge.

    Yeah that's what I would have thought too but it's still hanging at 1/4 full .
    I wasn't even looking for that benefit and now that the carbon packing issue is resolved I've cut back to just mixing in a little bit when I fuel.

    I wonder if most fuel treatments are just #1 Diesel with a little other stuff. Like bio diesel and or acetone perhaps.
