    Contact your locale community college. Also contact job placement through the state employment offices or unemployment offices.

    I would check into what Roadmedic suggested. I got a WIA grant through the career center here where I live.

    If you go through a local Community College you can get a Pell Grant that will pay for the schooling. A fellow student did this and it paid for all of her tuition and hotel except for about $300.00

    My local community college does not offer truck driving.

    The Commercial Driving Courses from the CC's in my area do not qualify for a Pell. The class or the credit hours isn't long enough to certify or something, I'm told. There are a few other programs. A Stafford or PLATO loan maybe?
