Anyone know about Tricities truck driving school?

Should be ok if it's on the registry. The school must be on the registry to provide cdl training.

Sometimes Performance Foodservice in Johnson City will accept a new cdl school grad for their training program. The website has 6 mos. experience required, but most terminals can waive that.
Used to be Reinhart, but Performance bought the company.

Heniff Transportation has a terminal in Kingsport.

I'd avoid that terminal to much drama. The office people don't know much and the Terminal Manager is rumored to be having an affair with one of them. One of the wash guys told me all kinds of wild stuff when I was there. Lots of favoritism too. I guess that happens when you are willing to go that extra mile *wink *wink. I literally left Heniff because of the drama but, this terminal seems to be the most corrupt.

 

I've been to Kingsport several times pulling hazmat tankers. Didn't have to deal with other tanker companies though.
Pretty easy pickup and delivery though.

 

Most companies want 160 hours and some are ok with 120 hrs or less. Right now the important issue is complying with the Registry; company has to be on the registry.
