I see them pulling all the shop-rite trailers in my area. Looking to see if anyone knows about pay and how to get signed on. Thanks

Union Shop, main terminal is in Elizabeth NJ, pay and benefits will be good. I used to subcontract for Shoprite, when I was up north. Getting in will be the challenge. You may have to go casual. They shut down Wakefern in Middletown about 14 year ago. At that time union drivers were getting about $25 an hour when the prevailing wage was about @15. Double time on weekends and a great benefits package. Easy work pallet jack (mostly electric) into their stores. All tike including waiting was paid, but 7 days 363 days a year.

Food haulers is a good spot for guys who want to work, you get paid accordingly. If you are committed to the craft, and know how to drive without e-logs, your looking at 170,000$-200,000 consistently.

Is this kind of money for company drivers or owner operators?

Food haulers has company drivers. But the majority of their force is o/o. You run your own authority, you do not lease onto them or anything. The company drivers they have are day can stuff for shuttling trailers and some local work. Their o/o work is good freight, like I said you have to run hard, but product is good and the pay is as stated above.
Ruthless your in Ct have you pulled for them?

Nope. I prefer the open deck work. They got some nice looking iron pulling their trailers.

I've done work for them with my own trailers refer and dry van. I also did some step deck work for them last year when they were opening up all those new stores, Bringing in racking. But most of their stuff is box work on their trailers.

    Ruthless Thanks this.
