I had a friend that trained in ontario. His trainer was a gangbanger who spent many years in prison. The pay was terrible, 10 for training, 12 after. His trainer would push him to go faster, especially in the trucks. Because he didn't, the trainer put in bad reports about him. Thats his experience, he left there after a week. It wasn't worth it.

Gardner trucking is now owned by (I believe) CRST. Some of the smaller companies, but larger on a local scale that have been doing some moving and shaking is Apex Bulk Commodities purchased other bulk carriers Harrison Nichols in Irwindale, as well as Hartwick and Hand in Victorville. I am not positive if this is truth, or just rumor mill, but the guy that owns/runs Valley Bulk, Inc. in Victorville, his dad is the one that started and sold off Apex Bulk Commodities.. Fun Stuff.... Sorry for straying from the subject. There is a post here about Gardner and from what I've read, I sure hope the stuff isn't true. If it is, I would never consider applying.

I've talked to a number of Gardner drivers since they have a lot of stuff in my area. The consensus is, lousy pay, extremely stupid micromanagement, and extremely poor maintenance on their equipment.
