Have a possible opportunity to get on with an auto hauler company here in Omaha called Road Warriors..You start with a small three/four car unit then upgrade to a 7-9 car unit as you progress..

This would be my first trucking job out of CDL training and its located right down the road from my CDL school...which is good I guess since they are familiar with them. Anyway, IS it a good way to start? I'm 61 yrs old, I get around real good and I'm pretty agile but I could sure use some pro advice...

Care to elaborate? It is more helpful to other drivers if you can give specifics about why they are crooks. That is what this site is about; helping each other.

Please, please, please stay as far away from this mckeever(road warriors) character as you can!! Crook, liar, cheat, is the tip of the iceberg.he is no more than a broker posing as a top notch company and nothing could be farther from the truth. his website is nothing more than hype generated by himself to make his company appear to be a sophisticated state of the art facility that has trucks running all over our highways serving all your carhauling needs while all the while his "fleet" consists of 2 dually pickups and small trailers. His marshalling yards, merely the customer parking lot of the omaha auto auction located around the corner and as far as his renowned "upfitting" service, I can only wonder how the real carhauling companies out there overlooked the niche in the market of installing bug deflectors on the cars we haul. Bottom line it's all a scam. Its good that there are sites like these where seasoned professionals can help those trying to break into the industry by hopefully keeping folks trying to make thier way way into this field from getting caught up in situations like these. I see you originally posted a year ago and I hope you have had some luck and gotten in with a respectable company. Hope all works out for you and continue to ask questions as we all have to start somewhere and need to stick together

It is amazing how driver(s) with a Class "A" CDL of less than a year can slam Road Warriors Auto Transporter or anybody else in the trucking industry. In the Midwest Region, Road Warriors has been recognized for "Integrity" (3) times out of (3) times by the Better Business when applying for their annual Integrity Awards. Our Regional Chapter includes over 8,500 members from four states. Road Warriors also maintains a constant A+ Rating from the BBB. At the national level Road Warriors was selected (2) times by Auto Remarketing as members of the Top "Power 200" Companies recognizing the most influential companies in the remarketing and used-car industry in the nation.

Summary of our last two drivers hired since August 2013:

First driver, Class "A" CDL less than a year, has now worked for (4) companies as a driver and is now on his (2nd) workers compensation claim within 6 months. In (5) months of employment he had numerous FMCSA Hours of Service Violations, lost a trailer ramp on a new trailer, due to haste, in rush hour traffic which created damage to two vehicles following him, and had a "Road Rage" incident against a lady with her eleven year old daughter.

Second driver, Class "A" CDL less than 6 months, has numerous FMCSA Hours of Service Violations, a chargeable accident where he rear ended a car during dry road conditions in daylight hours. This driver acknowledged verbally he was at fault, but would not sign a company letter for a chargeable accident acknowledging that he was the driver and responsible for the accident. This driver was terminated and he has not returned a company bluetooth headset and $22.00 in petty cash. Added to that, this driver owes the company $889.13 for a personal loan that was put on a company credit card for a Banks Double Shot - Water Methanol Injection System for this driver's personal RAM pickup truck. We have a signed (by driver) Notice of Repayment Due - From Personal Loan where he acknowledges: (1) Banks Double Shot - Water Methanol Injection System was for his personal use and put on a Road Warriors Credit Card. (2) Yes, he agreed to pay for the Banks Double Shot - Water Methanol Injection System & (3) He will pay $889.13 immediately. This ex-driver will not return phone calls or a text on these three items.

Also note that unternicht on 03-02-14 shows listed as a trucker for 7 years. Note that on 02-28-14 unternicht showed listed as a trucker for 0-1 Year. Also note that unternicht slammed another trucking company about a drug issue by ranting (6) posts in Feb 2013 where again listed as a trucker for 0-1 Year. It is obvious that unternicht has edited their post sometime after 02-28-14 to now indicate a driver of 7 years.

I have been in the Transportation Management for 35 years including (3) of the top LTL Companies, Union Pacific Railroad in the Automotive Division, and now the Auto Transportation Industry and I have worked with thousands of "professional" people both in management and on the driver's/engineer's-conductor side. It is most unwelcoming to have drivers like this represent the trucking industry.

Also in response to unternicht's post two week ago: "to give you an idea of what kind of an "ethical" bunch these guys are....http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/mckeev...nes-she-438701"

Everybody in the Road Warriors circle knows that McKeever Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Road Warriors Express was a "victim" of organized crime back in 2009 where our "good" name was used to set up innocent, but naive, people nationwide through a Mystery Shopper Scam using the name, Venture2000 Consumer Research Group. Road Warriors is a nationwide Auto Transport Company with our own trucks and drivers, as well as 3,000 independent contractors that represent us. We send out legitimate checks to our independent auto transporters that transport vehicles for us nationwide on a regular basis.

Somehow one of those legitimate checks got into the wrong hands of organized crime. The professional criminals sent McKeever Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Road Warriors checks nationwide, including Canada, to victims of their Mystery Shopper Scam. These checks were counterfeit and looked identical to our checks including logo, routing number, checking account number and an identical signature. Almost all of these checks were made out for just under $4,000. After receiving the checks, the Mystery Shopper was instructed to go to their banks or credit unions, withdraw the cash from the McKeever Enterprises d/b/a Road Warriors Express' check and wire the money to a third party in another state.. Then they were instructed to keep about $350 for their service and to make rounds at stores like Walmart, K-Mart, JC Penny's, Sears, and etc. and fill out some paperwork on certain items. We encouraged every caller to forward the original documentation to us as the checks were fraud and we were a victim as much as them.

Road Warriors had our phones, faxes, and emails busy non-stop for three weeks from banks, credit unions, check cashing businesses, and Mystery Shoppers contacting us to verify that the checks made with our company name were legitimate. Of course the checks were counterfeit. When the Mystery Shoppers did research on Venture2000 Consumer Research Group, they found nothing. They did research on our company and they found out we were legitimate. It is very obvious that we are nationwide Auto Transporters and not a Consumer Research Group connected with any legitimate marketing studier. Why anybody would think that a $3,900 check made out to them personally from McKeever Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Road Warriors Express would be legitimate is beyond me.

The Federal Trade Commission warns the public about the numerous Mystery Shopper Scams. They warn the public not to pay or wire money to anybody. On their website the FTC informs the public: "If an opportunity is on the up and up, you won't have to pay an application fee or deposit a check and wire money to someone else."

This happened not once but twice to Road Warriors within four months back in 2009. A local television station in Omaha did a story on the Mystery Shopper Scam that hit Road Warriors twice. I called the Nebraska Secretary of State and they offered to send me a pamphlet on fraud. I went to the FBI, with approximately 100 original Mystery Shopper Letters from victims of the public. I was informed by the FBI that they have warehouses full of this type of documentation and they cannot do anything about it because the professional thieves use portable cell phones and they cannot be traced. My comeback: "Why don't your trace the money that is being wired to third party individuals in this scam?" No reply other than the FBI thought the money was being wired to a third party in the US, and then wired again to Nigeria. Homeland Security had no answers either. So there you go, the perfect crime that nobody cares about while our American $$$$$$$ are stolen from innocent people by using legitimate American companies as the goats to their scam by issuing checks in our names. We had over $200,000 that tried to clear our checking account. The real victim is the USA, where our American $$$$$$ are being stolen from us and being sent overseas, the poor Mystery Shoppers that had the checks come back on their personal accounts after it was realized the checks they cashed were fraud, and good American Companies like Road Warriors, who are taking the blame. As the Federal Trade Commission states: "It may seem that the check has cleared and that the money has posted to the account, but when the check turns out to be fake, the person who deposited the check and wire the money will be responsible for paying back the bank.

So enternicht and Carhauler01, Road Warriors is an ethical bunch! I certainly cannot say the same about you!! Respect is Earned!! - Not Given! I have no respect for anybody that slams another person or company on the internet with "lies" and "inaccuracies" - It is time to "Man Up" - Come and see me so we can discuss the legal aspect of the circumstances that you have created for yourselves.

The last thing I would do is to work for this company. Mike will tell you that they will give you health insurance after your probation is up but then he will find some reason to extend your probation and mike will also point out to you after the 60 days that he is small enough that he does not have to provide insurance to you. I know that mike will get on here and try to slam my name but the trucking company needs to know how he operates. He will sit in his office or at his house and watch you from his computer using the GPS on the truck. He will also tell you some long drawn out story how you as a driver can stop if you feel that the roads are unsafe, but when he sees you stop on his computer he will call you and want to know why. Another thing is that he wants you to use your own cell phone for company business without reimbursing you. Mike also will tell you how a driver needs his time at home, but his idea of time at home is you'll get home late Friday night if your lucky and then he's calling you on Sunday wanting you to work. I know because I used to drive for them. He fired me because he was pissed off at me because during the winter, a lady cut me off and then stopped in front of me and I slid into her. He told me to tell her not to call her insurance or the police and that he was going to take care of it. Then he took care of it and then wanted me to pay for the damages because his deductible was higher than the cost of the repair. I told him that the police should have been called because it was a commercial vehicle and dot should have done an investigation and I also refused to sign a letter saying I would pay him for the damages. So feel free MIKE to start slamming me with whatever crap you want to say to me because I know the truth. He gives a bad name to veterans.

I just read Mikes statement, I am "driver 2", he is a liar, the roads were icy, it was January and I NEVER admitted fault. Also his "Numerous hours violations" is also a lie. In regards to the Bluetooth headset and the $22 petty cash it was all left in the center console of the truck and he is stating that I still have it in my possession when I told his son that it would not work with my new phone. So why would I take it? Mike is nothing but a liar and a cheapskate and he has a good rep with the BBB because he never reports anything and he's a little bully. He has no evidence to back up anything he says, I also told him that I would have no way to pay for that system and that he would have to take payments out of my check WHICH HE NEVER DID. I wish people would have to justify their comments when they post on here because its just a big game of he said he said, and Mike wants to look like the victim. Ask him why he told me and the lady in the accident not to call the police and not to contact her insurance company?

No slamming here veteran1 Mike B – Here are the facts! Your wife, through her job, provided health insurance for your family. You were informed upon hiring on 10-08-13 that once you “successfully” passed your 90 probationary period, Road Warriors would match your family’s out of pocket premiums. You were never able to make it “successfully” out of your probationary period during the four (4) months you worked for Road Warriors. During your initial 90 day period you had two (2) FMCSA Hours of Service Violations through e-logs that included a suspension. You also had a minor accident on 01-02-14 where you rear ended a lady in her 2013 Toyota Corolla as she was at a complete stop. Upon a Road Warriors representative being present on site, all parties consisting of the lady whose vehicle was damaged, you, and the RW representative, all agreed there was not a need to call the police because all parties were in agreement where they felt the damages were very minor and under $1,000.00 in damages. We have a sworn “signed” statement from the lady you hit where she states that you fully admitted that the accident was your fault and you informed her that you tried to stop but were unable to. This also coincides with the accident investigation where you stated to Road Warriors’ General Manager that you were at fault in rear ending the 2013 Toyota Corolla.

Based on your performance during your initial 90 day probationary, you were given another opportunity and your probationary period was extended until 02-17-14. During your extended probationary period you had three (3) more FMCSA Hours of Service Violations including two (2) e-logs and one (1) paper log violation. In summary your four months with Road Warriors:

    • 3 FMCSA violations of being on duty over the 14 hours restriction.
      • 5 day suspension for his second FMCSA Hours of Service violation on 11-23-13, after his first HOS violation on 11-22-13.
    • 1 FMCSA violation of driving beyond the 11 hour restriction
    • 1 FMCSA violation of not taking his proper half hour breaks during any 8 hours on duty.
      • Note that 3 of these FMCSA violations happened after your accident
    • Accident – You were involved in an accident with a company vehicle RW25 where a stopped vehicle was struck from behind resulting in an accident. You verbally admitted fault at the accident site, fully supported in writing and signatures by the lady you hit, along with Road Warriors General Manager at the accident site. Only after your probationary period was extended did you not admit fault in the accident you were involved in.
    • In editing your paper DOT logs, 23 log violations of the FMCSA logging requirements were found between January 18, 2014 and January 29, 2014, as you had to use paper logs when there was an issue with our e-log system.
    • From the period of January 27, 2013 until termination on February 17, 2014 you were absent from work a total of 19 days beyond your required FMCSA off duty time when work was available for you.
      • December 27-30 2013 off duty
      • January 18-21 2014 off duty
      • February 6-17 2014 off duty
    • You were hired as a full-time driver. Your attendance was inconsistent and you only made the required 8,500 mileage one month out of four while you were here. You showed up for your extended probationary review on 02-17-14, after being off duty for 11 days prior and was terminated based on your four (4) month history with Road Warriors.

You were provided “supporting” documentation from e-logs and your personal logs for every one (1) of your five (5) FMCSA Hours of Service violations with your Letters of Reprimands and Letter of Termination. If for some reason you are requesting another copy, will gladly fax, scan and email, or mail copies for you again at your request. I will also provide any and all documentation on any and all items in support of this post.

Based on your four (4) month history of performance with Road Warriors, why would you think you were “entitled” to Road Warriors matching your out of pocket insurance premiums for health insurance your wife provided your family much less retain your job?

During one 14 hour violation you ignored repeated phone calls from two Road Warriors representatives and avoided messages through North American GPS when you logged off your e-logs and continued driving until you could make it into your home town of Lincoln, NE.

You were terminated because you do not belong in a commercial vehicle as an over-the-road driver for the safety of the general public and yourself.

Now as far as the money you owe Road Warriors. We have a signed Notice of Repayment Due – From Personal Loan in which you signed and have a copy of, for $884.13 in the remaining balance of a Banks Double Shot – Water Methanol Injection System that we were good enough to put on a company credit card for your personal vehicle, in which you refuse to repay. At termination you gave back $30 of $52 petty cash and you kept the Bluetooth headset that was also put on a company credit card.

If you continue slandering Road Warriors I will have the same attorney contact you in legal actions that resulted in unternicht’s requested removal of his own slandering posts regarding Road Warriors as noted above in this website.
