a guy that I trained at a former company works for them. Says it is a great place to work. Also says that the mandatory training is beyond reproach. What he tells me he is getting paid is comparable to the rest of the oil haulers in the Eagle Ford. They are paid hourly. A few months back they had 200 new tractors and trailers on order, so they are growing.

    security58 Thanks this.

I got this from the Chesapeake Energy website.

Oilfield Trucking Solutions (OTS), an affiliate of Chesapeake Energy Corporation, operates as a common carrier by motor vehicle for oilfield-related fluid transportation in the Marcellus and Utica shales in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. The company also provides crude oil transportation services in the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas. OTS has more than 15 years of water hauling experience and previously operated as Hawg Hauling.

    Got this from Findthedata.

They recently put up some ads looking to hire in the Alva and Enid, OK area. They were even offering free housing with lunch and dinner provided. The Alva area is rural so I can see why it would be harder to hire for that area but Enid seems like a nice little town.

Chesapeake has had some huge layoffs this year here in Oklahoma. I was curious if anyone knew if this has hit the drivers in any way (wages, availability of work, etc)? Thanks!

How are they going bankrupt? I thought they were part of Chesapeake plus OTS has yards all over the place. Is each yard a franchise?

I heard a rumor last week BP and another company were looking to possibly make an offer on Chesapeake Energy. The stock sure has turned around in the past 9 months.

Chesapeake just layed off 1100 people in Oklahoma. I would say the company is in big trouble. I've got a buddy who's a driller for nomac who's owned by Chesapeake. He said they have stacked quit a few rigs in south tx and layed of 50 or so roughnecks.
