They only charge $2000. I was wondering why would students pay 3 to 5 times that to go to much longer schools. They told me 2 to 3 days a week for 4 or 5 weeks. One on One instruction instead of cramming 4 students in a sleeper and watching someone else drive all day long. Sounded like a no brainer to me. Do you know if they are an 'approved' school for most of the larger companies?

Best thing to do is check with the companies you're considering. I'm not sure if they're an ATA school or not.

    That's good advice.
Call some companies you may want to work for and ask.
One good one in Pomona is KKW Trucking.
Another that doesn't specify how long the school must be is Dartco, Inc.

$2000.00 is a good price, so if you can find a good company that accepts the school, then you're money ahead.

I will check with some of the companies I am looking to get hired with and do a bit more research on the school.

    Thanks for the help.

Ok, so I called May Trucking and Western Express and they both say that America Truck Driving School is on their 'approved' list. They offer both Sleeper trucks with 10 speeds and 48 ft trailers and and day cabs with smaller trailers. only $1895. You use their trucks to take your test as many times as needed. I think I'm going to give them a try.

Actually I was scheduled for today and tomorrow for some time in the 10 speed but when I got in the truck it started leaking power steering fluid, so I had to reschedule.
