Can it be done at a distribution center and if so, how’d you pull it off? Every time I’ve shown up early I’ve always been turned away and told to come back for my scheduled appointment time. Can you ask to be put on like a standby list in case someone doesn’t show or cancels?
Anyone ever got Walmart to take a load early?

If you're talking about a live unload, no, in fact they get downright upset about it if you try.

Depends on the Walmart. I’ve been to a few that will take you early but won’t unload you until you’re near appointment. Forgot exactly but it’s near Hazleton PA they will take you up to 4 hours earlier.

When I drove reefer you could not be more than an hour early or service failure.
Dryvan drop and hook you can not drop before midnight of drop date. -
No, never. I absolutely hate Wal-Mart. I know every time I pull in there it's gonna be at least 4 - 5 hours.

I used to deliver to London, KY, Shelbyville, TN, and New Albany, MS early all the time to get home. You just have to call the receiver and volunteer to self unload. They will usually agree to that, then once you get there they unload you anyway.
D.Tibbitt and silverspur Thank this.
