Just curious. Is it worth it?

Yes Im thinking without 34 hours of no work it would be an HOS violation when you get back in the truck.

HOS violation or not, it is just a matter of time when burning both ends of the candle results in someones death.

Uber or Lyft are noooo longer worth it. The rates are just awful and they lie about almost all incentives.

What driver has time for a second gig? Geesh!
I take Lyft’s back and forth to my home from the truck stop. It’s only $11. I tip them ten bucks.

If you have a CDL and work under DOT HOS then ANY WORK FOR COMPENSATION COUNTS TOWARD YOUR 70 HOUR CLOCK. No exception. Even working as a cashier counts. any job.

I did it when I was between jobs. Had like two weeks of no job because my new employer messed up during the onboarding. I also did it when I was on my first week at the new job because it was just a bunch of safety videos I was doing.

I really enjoyed it. Getting to know people and what they did for a living was very interesting.
One of the downsides is when you end up in a bad area and keep getting requests there to were you have to go offline and drive away from there. Very sketchy people and constantly smelling like weed.

There is no way to track the hrs when driving uber. So what is unknown doesnt hsppen. And the #### 34 hr thing pisses me off. 24 would be ample time to reset. But thats another post. I drove uber, lyft and delivered amazon. If you live in a big city, you can drive til you make what you want and then quit for the day. Where i live, weekend nights were busiest, but you got the drunks. If you can get to $20 plus an hr it'd be worth it.

I know a buddy of mine from high school that uses a app called task rabbit. Random jobs on there. But more of personal assistant type of work.. Like running errands for people, or helping move furniture or packing.. Stuff like that... Says he makes about 1k a week on average.. And hes been doing it a year or so.. Was doing door dash and instacart before that
