Thank you for the reply. How much did the cost the customer / or yourself if you don't mind me asking? I didn't think it would be that labor intensive honestly. Why do you think about sectioning the hood. Have the front of a 389 and the rest of the 388. The reason I would want to do that is remove the slope in the hood. I doubt anyone would catch the difference in the overal length as long as it doesn't slope.

easiest way is to take off your 388 current hood and get a 388 car hauler hood. it'll fit your truck and it doesnt have a slope.

Honestly cost vs reward IMO is not there. I thought about converting my W900A to a long hood since its literally just 2 frame rails and an engine as of right now. The amount of work and cost to re-locate the cab and extend wiring/airlines/fuel lines etc plus all the little crap you don't think of just isn't worth it IMO.
At the end of the day its your money and your truck and it boils down to what you decide to do. This is just my $0.02 on it.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

call RLK sevices. he does alot of custom work and hes done a 379 short hood and changed the front of the hood to a exhd. so its a ExSH379
