If interested, let me recommend an excellent unit at a very moderate price. The Eureka hand held. I've got one and it's the best hand held I've seen. I think it would be great for trucks/cars.

Check with Kirby they used to make a 12-volt auto vac that will almost suck the chrome off a trailer hitch. Mine is about 15 yrs old and still works great, my only complaint is the bag/filter is way to small, I have to empty it every time i use it,2-3 times a month depending on the weather.

I bought a crappy 12v one from a Loves a while back. It works, but not the greatest.

Hubby and I have a 'Shark' handheld vacuum that works great.

We had a dirt devil that had the handle that fit it where it could be hand held or used upright; it was borrowed from grandson. May have not been as good as some of the others mentioned but it filled the bill.

Once I'm finally on the road I am going to have to invest in one for sure. Having been an auto detailer, I don't think I could go very long with nasty carpet! haha

This is going to sound crazy, I know, but we have a T2000, and we just put a hardwood floor in it. We carry one of those Sharks, and tho it works like a charm, we could never seem to get it clean enough. I found some hardwood on sale at Menard's for $23 a box (it took barely over 1), bought some furnace insulation, and some bathroom caulking to waterproof the seams. It took us allll day but is oh so worth it!! We still use that Shark, but now it only takes 15 mins.

Tried a road pro from a TA, yeah right, tried to sell it at a yard sale once, it now sits in storage collecting dust. Will get one when I find one I like. Till then I sweep and use blow out the cab with air. I'll bobtail into where the truck will fit like some car washes and pay to vacuum or do it at a truck wash.
The carpet isn't all I care about, I get everything I can.
BTW Some units still have plastic on the mattress and not all cabs have carpet on the floor -
I got one of these on sale at Sears for about $35. Works well. Clogs up quickly as there is lots of fine silica dust. But that means it's working. 120v so you need inverter. It's sold under Armorall Brand name.
FEELTHEWHEEL and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
Nice set up there but I would think that would take up too much space in the trk.I'll stick to the vacuums at the trk wash, lol.
