Anybody using gorilla safety aobrd or ELD?

Hi, Thanks for checking around. This is Mark from Gorilla Safety. It's a good idea to check around before selecting your solution.

You are asking good questions. First, if you check out the FMCSA registered ELD list, you will find ours is the second one listed under "Prime8". Also, keep in mind, the AOBRD does not require registration, so that's not a huge deal, but the ELD registration is a very big deal. Something else that might be of interest is that we are the only company to use a 3rd party to review each of the ELD requirements to be sure we are compliant. This should give you some peace of mind.

Regarding the patent pending, the US Patent and Trademark Office requires we mark any advertising as Patent Pending while patent applications are pending. While we have a number of things pending right now, we specifically have a patent pending on the ELD supporting documents, which is really user friendly. We also have a couple of patents issued around the electronic DVIR process as it ties into the electronic logs.

Ha, it wasn't a setup. Sorry if it looks that way. I just wanted to be able to answer the questions and I am new to the forum.

This is a challenging time for the trucking world and we want to be able to do what we can to answer questions as quickly as we can.

how long takes to receive the hardware after ordering? I have ordered Aobrd few days a go.

 

The AOBRD's are being shipped out as quickly as we can. It usually takes a few days and then mail time. Reach out to support@gorillasafety.com and I can give you a better estimate for your particular order.

 

Just ordered the AOBRD from Gorilla safety. Downloaded the app for ipad but the software stays on log in screen. Maybe needs the hardware?

 

yes. the hardware is an adapter called Prime8 and vehicle cable.

 

Did you try the the software in action? Does it work without any problems? Can you edit ? Thank you.

 

I have not received the hardware. Without it I can't do anything. My main problem was drive recording speed at 5mph. Looks like with Gorilla I can push it to 25mph. I bought it because of this available setting. As soon as I get it I will hook it up and test it. I will share what can be done whit this AOBRD.
