I have been asking for the absolute truth about them here, because this is the place I feel is proper to ask.
1.) what is orientation and physical going to consist of?
2.) Is the material I received from them about their Target DC to Store true, i.e., .42cpm , insurance $76 per week for (Driver only) top tier coverage...ect..ect.
3.) I was told I would have a 3 day orientation. Now I read here that it is a whole week in Bridgeton, MO!! with no pay...Hell no! My time starts the moment I walk onto Company Property. Free Hotel or Not, I would pay for a private room anyway!!
Please, give the down and dirty of the whole process.
Thanks Folks.
Peace.
Anybody!! There has to someone here who drives for Hogan!!

1.) Physical Consists of carrying a box of weight I believe 30 pounds across a room pushing then pulling a wheeled cart the same distance it as more weight on it they to a grip test for for hands and they do a step test where you have to keep stepping up and down for three mins.
2 Not sure the pay for target as I am not on that account also depends on how much experience you have.
3 Standard Health plan is 76 a week for driver only premium plan is 96 a week.
4 I did my orientation in Columbus OH however I live in PA and it was alot closer.
Orientation was 3 days and is set up to be 3 days it can be 4 days if you are on a dollar tree account. You are correct it isn't paid. The hotel that i was in in Columbus was very nice with a full kitchen and a living room and separate bedroom. For me it was worth it to have the ability to be in my own room. I also able to bring my wife and two kids and it wasn't a problem .
I went to orientation on last weekBuckeyeKev and tigersroses1 Thank this. -
I am considering and my friend is also interested in working for Hogan down here at their Richburg terminal with Hadden house. What I want to know is how much deliveries are to stores that have no loading docks.
Sounds like they have a hard time keeping drivers because of all the hand unloading and fingerprinting.
Most Drivers did not get their CDL's to become lumpers -

combination driver lumper..............
Happy New YearSirscrapntruckalot Thanks this. -
Dollar Tree Account will kill you!! You will find that almost all of the deliveries to Those "Dollar" accounts have zero docks. They are all alley and rack/roll-tainers or You unload onto a roller system. ALL of the are Driver unload deliveries and YOU WILL do all the unloading....nobody will help you!
Good luck with all that Hogan Stuff! -
I'm doing a reefer load out of Joliet, IL. It pays .50 cpm. Only problem is you dont know when you will get a long run or a short run. If you dont keep up on them starting sunday around noon to get the planners thinking of you. You are guaranteed a short run. 800 miles at best. Long runs are about 3100 at the highest. I've been doing great for 6 months then it's been down to short runs for a few months now. I told them that it has to go up or I'm gone. They said okay. No change. I've put my 2 week in.
Pros: New trucks. Parking at the warehouse or bring it home with you. Most have inverters. Trademark Transport is the account. Nice people.
Cons: Trademark Transport planners dont take the 10 hour break in between days sometimes. I've had to plan some of my own trips and re schedule them myself.
Overall, not too bad. Good people, just not consistent. -
I just started with Hogan and want to see if I can find advice. I just finished driving school so I figure I have to pay my dues. I found some local stuff but the interviews didn't work out. So I'm planning to run a DG account out of Iowa? Are these similiar to the Dollar Tree account as in no docs to setup with therefore rough job moving rolltainers?
1.) Assuming I run efficiently what sort of hours will I put in?
2.) Can I make all this happen < 70 hours week?
3.) Will I pull 1,000 - 1,200 weekly as advertised.
Thx in advance. -
From the few people that I still talk with from Hogan. They do right around 1100 before taxes and such. Sometimes a little more. You get paid per mile and per stop. The DG account does have a lot of moving. Albeit its usually quick for the most part. The few I talk with do use up most of their time every day. But 5 days at the most. Rarely a 6th day. So I hope this helps. -
Why not Hadden House
