I just moved to Colorado. Denver area for now but thinking of going to CO Springs. Anyone know any good ones in Denver or CO Springs area?
Anybody know of any Colorado trucking companies that are good and have steady work?

What's your level of experience/ previous trucking experience?
What are you looking to do specifically? OTR, regional, local? -
Sorry... didn't notice the title to thread.

I'm looking into that area because we're planning to move there in a year. Someone recommended A&W Water Service in Ft. Lupton.

You need to be more specific. What type of trucking do you want to do? And where do you want to live in Colorado, it's a big state.
in a year? hell, who knows? the economy could tank, go gangbusters, who knows? There are lots of trucking companies out of here.
rent/housing prices are ridiculous on the front range. (utterly outrageous) -
as others have said, you need to be more specific, the majority of us on here live on the Front range, if you move to the W. slope, our advice or suggestions are worthless. Depends on what you want to haul, your level of exp.;, your age, etc..

JBS Carriers out of Greely, Co. is a good company, plenty of loads going to the west coast.
Chris Martin Thanks this. -
All LTL carriers hiring in Denver. Linehaul & City. Just look up their sites.
Chris Martin Thanks this. -
Swift has a terminal in Denver.
I know, not the best company. But far from the worst as well.
But based there you could do either OTR or local or regional.Chris Martin Thanks this. -
Better to look in Denver than in Colorado Springs, IMO. Which is why I moved to Broomfield from Co. Springs.
There's an outfit out of Co. Springs on Garden of the Gods, right next to the HVH yard... Meyer Trucking.. small company, maybe seven trucks.. flatbed, stepdeck, and manual detach RGN. If you're willing to be all in and have your #### together, you can do well with them, but be forewarned, because Leo Meyer is not an easy man to work for. You'll be out about two weeks and home for a couple days, although they do expect you to put in some time in the shop, as well.
HVH runs daycabs... I'm under the impression their line haul fleet is all O/O. Groendyke has a facility in Fountain (and one in the Denver area, too, but I'm not certain exactly where) if you're into tankers. All the megas have facilities in the Denver area... Swift, Werner, etc. Navajo Express is based in Denver. UPS/UPS Freight, FedEx, and YRC all have facilities both in Denver and Colorado Springs.
My current full-time employer in Commerce City is looking for drivers, if you have equipment hauling experience. They run a rollback, Landoll sliders, and a couple RGNs. Mostly day runs, though they do take on the occasional long haul. My current part-time employer is always looking, as well... that one being Navajo.Chris Martin Thanks this.
