I've been driving for 16 years and I'm looking for a new company to work for, I applied to Schwerman Trucking and have a road test with them tomorrow. Just curious if anybody knows if they are a good company, they've been around for 104 years so you have to be doing something right, right? Please reply with any info, thank you. P.S. any referrals to a good company would be greatly appreciated, just wanna get driving again for my family. God Bless the Truckers!
Anybody ever worked for or know anything about Schwerman Trucking?

I worked for Schwerman for a few years. I was out of Tennessee and did quite a few deliveries to Pasadena,TX.
Schwerman (Tankstar) can be ok and can also be horrible; just depends on the terminal you're out of. It's a penny pinching company and micro-managed from Milwaukee from my experience. I was there when Tankstar was forced on Elogs due to a fatality and that was the best thing that happened while I worked there; the Elogs. It forced the office to quit showing favoritism and spread the work around more fairly, because, no more falsifying paper logs.
The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because I had a goal to reach in my personal life and being there helped me reach that goal. I made it work for me.
Maybe the terminal where you are is ok, I don't know.
If I lived where you do though, I'd probably go with A&R Logistics or Groendyke.BuddyMounger Thanks this.
