Real ID and states residence requirements are two different things. Some states can be piskier than others on residence requirements but Real ID requiements are Federal and are supposed to be the same nationwide. Real ID need to show something like a Passport or Passport card, or Birth certificate or photo ID from DHS. They accepted a freind of mines TWIC card. Then also A Photo ID/Drivers license or a photo work id or a car registration or a Concealed carry license. I was renewing my license and had my Birth Certificate. For my secondary id they accepted my combined hunting/fishing license.
Point is getting the real ID is not difficult like some make it out to be.

Americas Mailbox will take care of your car registration for you.
But license. You need a receipt that you stayed where you want your address on your license. Thus AM’s campground.

No reason for them to get onto it since there's nothing wrong with it. You also don't have to use a zip code when you address mail, nor the modern state abbreviations either. You can still use the old "Penna" or "Conn" or whatever, with no zip, and the mail will still get there. It just takes like an extra day.

Many years ago I lived in truck for a couple years. Carried bbq, fishing poles and folding camp chair.

Residency requirements are all twisted to be a money grab.

In My state you are considered a resident after 30 days and required to change your drivers license and car tags etc
As if anyone would know if you don’t admit it.
When I lived in a different stage fir a couple of years and they wanted a huge huge Amount for my car tag, I just kept my DL and car tag from the state i used to live in.
Just went back to visit family when the car tag was due, and went in person and paid it .

except , if you want to attend a state college, you’re not considered a resident until you’ve lived in the state for 12 months .
