If that home policy of 14-18 days out doesn't appeal to you check out Art Pape Transfer out of Dubuque, IA. They haul all the same stuff as Tennant (const. and farm equipment) + steel and building materials. Although I haven't seen a load as ugly as GI posted.
Small family outfit, 50ish trucks, 1.5-2 days home every week. Mainly runs between IA and the port of Baltimore. If you're interested, contact Cpape here on the forum. He's an owner of the company and the flatbed dispatcher, he knows his stuff, great guy.
Best of luck to you guys, hope where ever the road takes you is to a good place.

GI Jeff- How has it been going with Tennant? Where have you been, what have you been doing?

Heh...how has it been. Well busy busy busy and run run run. The only down time I get, is if I deliver on a Friday and am about out of hours. So they'll shut me down till Monday. So I can start the following week with a full 70. I am actually a little surprised by it, but grateful as well. With Roehl I used to go as much as 3-4 weeks before a restart.
Lately its been mostly tractors. If you're not hauling them on a flatbed, you'll pull a box load of them out of Augusta. I pulled a van load of JD tractors out of my last hometime. 3 stops, about 7-8 tractors in the box. Once I got close enough to Moline, I dropped the box and picked up a load of RGN trailers going to Case/New Holland in Grand Islans, NE.
I pulled an empty load of stacked drop-decks back down to our yard in Wichita, KS. Then up to Hesston, KS for an oversized load of Round Balers; going back up toward Moline. I then headed up to Waterloo, IA and picked up a brand new JD tractor and extra duals. That was my load home for Christmas. I deliver that to Moultrie...then back to the Augusta yard...and head for sunny LA, California...WooHoo!!!!
Once I get some pics taken, I post some more.
Merry Christmas everyone.TDriver4Life Thanks this. -
