    There are lots of them!

    Honey Transport

    Severt

    Central Ref.

    JCT

    Kennesaw

    Armellini

Check Craigslist in the Orlando section. I have seen many ads in there for FL to CA runs. The reefer companies are going to be your absolute best bet because flowers, produce, juice and meat all run in cycles from FL to CA or CA to FL depending on what time of the year things are growing.

    Thank you for that info.

I'm from just north of Tampa. Been running New England out to Stockton/Modesto (Trader Joes, Sysco, Unfi, Walmarts etc etc) and back for the last 6 months. Would love to do Fl to Ca and back. Chaining up and sitting out snow storms on 80 blows.

Another good way to run coast to coast would be to team. Most companies use their teams to run those loads.

I did the teaming thing for 4 weeks till I got my truck here.
I dont like teaming at all.

Difficult for me to sleep in a moving truck. When I wake I almost always need to use bathroom,.. #1 and/or #2. Not so easy in a moving truck with no place to stop. I like regular showers. Unless I stopped on my shift. Co driver didnt like to stop for showers on his shift. Ditto for getting laundry done. Co driver would wear same stench for entire time we were together. Plus if you dont smoke ( I dont ) and get stuck with someone who does it can be brutal. If I have the option I wont ever team again.

I'd leave out of Londonderry NH and make it to La Porte Ind for my first break. Then Lexington Ne for second, Tooele Ut 3rd night, then straight to Stockton or Modest on 4th night. Delivery/deliveries would usually be the following morning. Do a restart, get loaded and head back following same routine. Rare ever changed. Thats how I've been running back and forth for the last 6 months. 4 days coast to coast.

I'm burned out, tired, crotchety and cant wait to get some luvin from my wife in a few hours. Just waiting for light to turn green so I can get my paper work and go home.

Your right though. Reefers loads are always moving. I think if I buy my own truck I will buy a reefer as well. Just try to stay away from produce if I can. Thats my goal if I can make it that far.

Armellini is teams only. I don't think they hire that far north anyway.

Find you a horse that's not governed either. Lots of highway on the bottom is 75mph round the clock now. My dog loves it when I take her for a walk . Hammer down !

I should change that. I have 6 years,.. but its from 1990 - 1996. Not 6 years recent. I just got back into trucking and finally found a company to hire me last January. So 6 months of recent experience. When I last drove log books were not enforced. We were pretty much allowed to do as we pleased as long as the load and unit were in one piece when we arrived at our destination.

I do not team now. I only had to do it for a month while with their driver to learn the company fuel stops and procedures. It was enough to discourage me from ever wanting to team again.
