my truck was perfectly fine till i bought the scangauge.
i had an issue with the truck shutting down the turbo 2 weeks ago. had it in shop and nothing was wrong.
i had engine light. then dpf light. couldn't regen the truck till it was shut down overnight. then engine light stayed off and i was able to regen.
yesterday i limped into walcott with no turbo.and no engine light. this morning she's all dandy but i'm sitting at kenworth waiting to hear nothing is wrong again.
i'm starting to wonder if my problem is the scanguage causing the ecm to glitch. since i had absolutely ZERO problems before i bought the thing.
any of you haveing problems with your scangauge d????

Run with it unplugged for a while and see if your problems go away. Then after than, plug it back in. If your problems return, unplug it and get rid of it. I can't see a scan gauge directly causing as all they are really supposed to do is read the data stream. Weird things will happen if datalinks get corrupted though. Some trucks do have separate control modules to run the aftertreatment system. These modules do communicate over datalinks, though usually private, (not the same one your scan gauge connects to).
