Any current drivers for SFI that can let me know what it's like running for them? They will be starting with a new account here in Dec. and are looking for a few drivers. I liked what the recruiter had to say, but was looking for real world feedback.

    Where's here?

They're supposedly starting something up in the Hazleton, PA area, but I don't know for whom.

I'll be watching this thread closely...

Yeah, it's for the Hazleton,PA location. It's running cardboard, but I can't remember the name of the place they got the contract with.

Pretty sure it was Freedom. They are taking over 12/4.

Thanks much. I wasn't sure, but their ad kept popping up on my Facebook, and it intrigued me. Perhaps I'll fire off an app myself!

He said you're paid by the load, but you will start in hazleton, then run to the nearest location (NY,NJ.PA) to where you drop off and pick up another load, so there's not much deadheading. The sign on bonus is paid out over the 1st year.

    Voyager1968 Thanks this.

I talked to a System Freight driver out of Monroe Township NJ a couple years ago. Teamster job. You get paid by trip rate (by the load). Not the highest paying job considering the amount of hours you put in. I think they make around $60k a year also hauling paper. Heard the benefits isn't that good either, despite being Union. It may be different in other terminals, but I gotta question a job that uses billboards and sign on bonuses to persuade drivers to work for them.

    BiggDaddy and Blackshack46 Thank this.
