Every time I come to the Houston area I seem to bump into douches. Panhandlers or beggars at 2 different locations. Seems I run into them in h town more than anywhere else.
Any decent truck stops in Houston area?

The only half decent place is the Loves off 610 loop. Other than that No good stops.
austinmike Thanks this. -
It's a big city, that's what happens. Just say no and keep walking

There's one in Baytown that's pretty new. It's exit 798, and head south on TX-146 a couple of miles or so. Its the Oasis. Cheap Fuel and good food. You get so many gallons of fuel you get free tacos. Its plenty of space to park as well, not a huge truck stop but a good one. I know you are looking g within Houston but you may as well hang that up. Either you sleep at your customer, or find a stop on the outskirts. There is one on the loop with a burger king in it but I can't remember if its free parking

I stayed at the FlyingJ in Baytown, exit 789, multiple times. Even reset my 34 there. Not too bad. There are four ts at that exit ( Love's, TA, FlyingJ and another one). The two already mentioned on exit 798 are okay, as well.

Beltway travel plaza. Just off the Sam Houston tollway. No toll to get to it.

On IH-10 Baytown east of Houston best.
West on 10, Sealey Truck Stop (simply because you can get in).
It’s IH45 where you’re screwed. Too much traffic, period.
Get well north. The Yellow Rose at mm152 is where I’d draw the line.
Of course, if you like drama, the Fly J at the 63 has plenty.
In there one morning on the throne and heard one brutha lived two miles away tell another he’d been stopping there every morning the last nine years. Septic pipe had broken at the house.
Nine years.
How much dirt is one shovel-ful/day is 3,300?
OTOH, one of the great characters of the CB world — Tbone — does mobile radio work there and from his nearby shop. One of the best radio rigs you’ll ever hear for audio fidelity. Have heard him on skip coast-to-Coast.
On 59 I can pick him up and his regulars at Cleveland to east. From IH10 out west at Katy.
He loves his 29s.
Then there’s Mean Green out near 10/610 on east side.
Plenty of other good rigs. So ask for parking help.
