So I'm finally getting out of International (Maxxforce engine) truck I survived 4 years of just lots and lots of headache and constant problems, I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER IN MY LIFE BUY ANY INTERNATIONAL TRUCK AGAIN!
    I learned the hard way.
So now I'am about to pull a trigger and purchase this nice looking yellow 2016 Volvo 670 i shift 500hp with 314k miles on it, so I am looking for any advice/ complaints from driver's out there that have any real life experience with this truck like how satisfied are you? 20180406_131410.jpg

I’d go 780. And the Volvo engine paired with the ishift trans & Volo’s xe package. In performance mode, you’ll have plenty of power no question. And you can get some pretty wicked fuel milage numbers.

If you’ve never driven an ishift trans, do yourself a favor and take one at the dealership for a test drive. You’ll become a lover in short order!

670 is a little small inside but much lighter then 780. You will get great fuel milage. Volvo engines are very relible just their aftertreatment suck.Cant say anything about ishift never drove one.Im an old timer loving my 13 speed.

I agree it does look bit small and not enough storage space, but I sleep 2-3 times per week in the truck so I really don't stay for too long on the road. While 780 is bigger in my situation it's not the best option. Aftertreatment is what scares me but I truly believe there is no newer truck outhere that doesn't have these issues. i shift was very interesting when I took a test drive as I never driven i shift before

Go for it if 670 is the right size for you. With aftertreatment you will have to stay on top of it or deleted otherwise it cost pretty penny to service it at the dealer

Volvo figured out the aftertreatment dilemma a little before the other manufacturers, seems ahead of the pack in that department,. They still have their issues tho.. I loved the i-shift when I drove one and will definitely be ordering my next truck with one if I go Volvo again, my truck has the d13 with a 13spd and it isn’t bad but for sure missing the ishift.. I hated autos until driving the ishift and now I’m a fan boy for sure.. check out you local stealerships before you choose a brand, my local Volvo is good but freightliner, kenworth and pete all suck.. always backed out atleast a week before they can even look at it and Volvo I’m usually diagnosed within a day.. good luck
